One of the fears that people have about entering recovery is to give up the pain; they have to give up the pleasure. While many traditional rehab clinics offer a somewhat clinical environment where abstinence is the ruling principle; we like to do things a little different. At Seasons Bali, we believe that recovery is not a state of abstinence, but a state of clarity through which, we can experience all of the wonders of our incredible world in a completely fresh way.  To facilitate this new way of being, we offer several life-affirming activities to help you reconnect to the natural euphoria of living which is often lost alongside the innocence of childhood. During the week, clients will come together to decide on an activity for the weekend. All activities are fully supervised by the Seasons team.

People come from all over the world to surf in Bali. There are two ways to enjoy surfing here –

  1. If you have the experience, get out there yourself.
  2. Take a lesson from a local pro
  3. Watch the action from dry land.

As a spiritual culture, the Balinese are very in touch with the ocean with traditional ceremonies often being performed on local beaches. A popular weekend activity that our clients love is traveling to the famous Canggu surf beach. As lushpalm.com tells us. Canggu, Bali, is a hip beach town on the southwest coast of the island. Once a sleepy fishing village, in recent years the area has transformed into a hipster hub full of digital nomads, yoga studios, health cafés, and creative energy. And of course, there are those super fun waves that attract surfers from around the globe. At Seasons Bali, surfing is one of our life-affirming activities; if you are ready for it. Many of our clients will tell you that connecting with the ocean in this way for the first time can be utterly life-changing. Those are the kinds of experiences that can bring real change to our lives.

Hot Mineral Springs

The Buleleng Regency has several natural hot springs. Reached by driving through the dramatic volcanic landscape, the therapeutic waters offer an excellent way to soothe away tired muscles.

White water rafting

At one point, white water rafting was considered an extreme sport. These days it is practised daily by visitors all over Asia and the world. While it still has its risks, white water rafting is a communal activity that requires teamwork and courage. 

On the physical level, hanging on is a lot more effort than it seems, so it is an excellent workout for both the body and mind. But it’s not all craziness. In between the whitewater exhilaration, you will enjoy moments of peace and clarity as you float effortlessly along the scenic Ayung River, take in the beauty of nature. Take in a deep breath and feel gratitude for your life and clarity.

Bali has some of the most pristine jungle and rainforest on the planet. Nature walking is a part of our program at Seasons Bali. Our jungle trekking and waterfall spotting takes things to the next level. A substantial aspect of successful recovery is to transcend the isolation that we can feel from early adulthood. Connecting to mystical and ancient elements of nature can help us feel a sense of something bigger, a connection to the whole of life and our place in the natural order.

Other Activities

Our weekend activities often include market visits, volunteering in the community and visit local waterparks. While all activities need to be approved by us, clients have an almost unlimited choice in the activities they would like to undertake. At the same time, deciding as a group helps induce teamwork and co-operation.
